It is said that pride is a sin and if that is the case, this is the most sinful blog post that I have ever had the pleasure of writing. Because I can tell you now, I am immensely proud of what I am about to tell you.

In THIRTEEN DAYS, yes - you read that correctly - we have gone from me having a brainwave, hitting Instagram for a live stream and announcing: "My charity colourway has been plagiarised, I refuse to name and shame, let's create something beautiful out of this." I'm obviously paraphrasing because if you've ever seen me live stream you know that it's littered with f-bombs a lot.

I said that on Sunday 1st July, I want to launch Tits Out Collective.
I released the recipe (well the dyes used) to the public.
I invited fellow indie dyers to recreate the colourway 'If I Want Exposure, I'll Get My Tits Out' in their own dyeing style.
I asked them to donate to charities that mean the most to them.

What I didn't expect, was what happened next.

287 dyers, knitting and crochet designers and makers of notions, bags and jewellery stood up and said: "we are in."

In THIRTEEN DAYS - no time at all, we have gone from nothing to what people are calling a "movement."Thought-provoking questions about misogyny, plagiarism, feminism and working together have been taking place on social media in response to Tits Out Collective.

Dyers have dyed yarn and fibre.

Designers have written patterns or rebranded existing ones.
Tech editors have been furiously punching in numbers on calculators to get these patterns to launch in no time at all.

Makers have been sewing, drawing, screenprinting, laser cutting, making batts and rolags, you name it.

Established powerhouses of dyers have got on board to stand side by side with people about to launch their Etsy shops and websites. Every level of experience and business longevity is here. This is even WORLDWIDE.

You have got to see #titsoutcollective on Instagram. Hundreds and hundreds of posts about supporting each other, how this has made so many of us feel emotional... how many of us took our clothes off! We stepped outside our comfort zones together. I am deeply humbled to have been a part of something so big, so beautiful and so strong.

Without further ado, it is with IMMENSE pride, pleasure and trepidation that I announce that Tits Out Collective is LAUNCHED!

You can find the TITTY FADE GALLERY on my website which showcases all the participants in a random order.

You can find the LAUNCH PARODY VIDEO with Julie Knits in Paris here (it is risque!)

Tits Out Collective lasts until July 31st and then I will ask participants how much their donations were so I can release one big collective number at the beginning of August. I anticipate this is going to be a big number!

Thank you so much for supporting Tits Out Collective.

Rock on!
