Guess what the best socks are to wear with sneakers?
I was pretty stoked to read this...
Connoisseur of high-end sneakers and sock yarn.
I've been into sneakers now for a good 2 years and it's been really interesting to watch how this industry works. SneakerFreaker have been ahead of the game the entire way and post various articles on when new sneakers are releasing but there are some educational gems in here where you can learn a thing or two.
This feature caught my eye as it discusses the importance of socks and the materials they are made of when it comes to caring for your feet and footwear.
It turns out that sheepy hand knitted socks might be the way to go ✌
What's your favourite yarn to make socks with? I might need to sort myself some!
TRY OUR BEST-SELLING LADY PERSEPHONE SOCK YARN
Bluefaced Leicester wool and nylon makes this a great blend for socks. The long-stapled fibre of the wool is longer lasting than merino and being glossier too, makes our dyeing glow.
Try Auntie Plastique
If you prefer your sock yarns nylon free and hand wash only, try this blend of Corriedale wool and mohair. The mohair is long, strong and acts as the substitute for nylon, and is what was traditionally used for strength.
TRY COOP KNITS SOCKS YEAH!
Merino and nylon sock yarn brought to us by sock designer Rachel Coopey and Chester Wool Company, these come in 50 gram skeins, perfect for mixing up your colours for coordinating toes and heels. We stock the full range of colours in 4ply / fingering and DK weight.
