First day of dyeing in the new studio

March 11, 2014 1 min read

Today was the first day that I did dyeing in the new studio and everything was perfect. The new layout works brilliantly and I have so much natural daylight to work in.

Here's the first pot of dye (teal) complete with reflection of the ceiling! It was so good to be dyeing yarn in here.

I'm probably quite unbearable to live with as I'm a bit of a neat freak but when I'm dyeing yarn, that goes out of the window! At least the drops of acid dye make a pretty pattern on the kitchen paper.

And the first batch of yarns dyed is Nerds Prefer Their Rainbows Darker on merino DK weight. They'll be available on the next update on March 28th. The weather in Manchester is gloriously spring-like so these had the privige of drying outside in the warmth of the sun.
