We have complied a gallery of repeatable colourways as a guidance as to what is in the Countess Ablaze repertoire.
Due to the nature of the hand dyeing process, dye lots will look slightly different as each dye lot is a separate version. The yarn base also plays a part in how a colourway will look due to fibre composition and colour, twist, thickness and whether the yarn has been superwash treated to make it machine washable.
Colourways are often dyed in multiple layers to add complexity so expect to see small tonal changes in the semi-solid colours.
When working with multiple skeins of the same colourway in a project, it is advisable to use two skeins simultaneously by alternating skeins every couple of rows. The nuances of hand dyed yarn mean that skeins will never be identical but alternating skeins in this manner will blend the colours together to eliminate differences.
At Countess Ablaze, we do not accept custom orders so please keep an eye on the website to see what is available.
